Therapeutic and cosmetic importance of hemp oil

Cannabis sativa L cannabis, due to the content of phytocannabinoids, mainly CBD and low THC content below 1%, can be used in medicine. CBD has a neuroprotective and anxiolytic effect as well as helps in the treatment of alcohol and nicotine addiction. THC has a strong psychotropic effect, but also analgesic and anti-inflammatory.
Hemp oil is a good source of cannabinoids, especially CBD enriched oil. In addition, it contains over 80% of EFAs and an ideal ratio (3: 1) of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids. The antioxidant density in the composition, neutralizes free radicals responsible for, among others, rapid aging of the skin and the body. Hemp oil used on the skin plays a role in the care of dry skin, as well as in the case of psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and acne. Hemp oil rich in: amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids, fiber, tocopherols, phytosterols, carotenoids, polyphenols, phospholipids is also used in the kitchen, as an addition to preparing healthy dishes. It is also a source of easily digestible protein. The cannabinoids contained in hemp are characterized by anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, analgesic and antidepressive properties.
