Linden – a rich source of phenolic compounds for health benefits ·

A short characteristic of botanical taxonomy of plants from the Tiliaceae family, main secondary metabolites occurring in these plants and fundamental areas of medical application of the linden herbal drugs has been given in this paper. Special attention has been paid to their antioxidative, anti-proliferative, anxiolytic, sedative and anti-inflammatory properties.
