The aim of this study was to evaluate the suitability of a new mixer UNGUATOR® 2100 to prepare suppositories. Three programs were used to produce the formulation: „suppositories” – standard formulation program with constant mixing parameters, two individual programs: “direct” and “manual” program. To evaluate the compounded drugs preparations the results of the tests were taken into account: visual inspection, uniformity of mass, total time of deformation, content and uniformity of active ingredient content. The quality of suppositories prepared using UNGUATOR® 2100 mixing system depends on the proper selection of the program and mixing parameters.
