Film coating protects API before external environment, facilitates administration and masks unpleasant taste (sugar coated and water soluble polymer coated forms) and makes modi- cated release e- ect (enteric and insoluble polymer coated forms). The most common method of preparation of - lm coating is spraying the - lm coating mixture over the cores. There are several types of coating processes, widely used are: coating in the perforated drum or bed - uid coating. Spray dryer coating or with rotating nozzle are rarely used.
