Nebulization is classical method of aerosol administration in regions of the human respiratory tract. Nebulizers are employed to generate aerosols of drug in solutions, suspensions micro- and nanoparticles or liposomes. The new generation of nebulizers has a much greater efficiency, precision and consistency of drug delivery to the lung than conventional nebulizers. Among the new generation of nebulizers are several devices that empoly a vibrating mesh or plate with multiple apertutes to generate a liquid aerosol. Pharmacist should help patient with choice of nebulizers and should inform patient of use the equipment correctly.
