Microbiological monitoring of medicine production environment. Epidemiological analyses have shown that medicine production environment poses a significant threat of microbial contaminations and infections caused by medicine. Only the usage of proper research methods of microbial contamination and suitable prophylaxis in aseptics can limit contamination of production environment and patient infections. The paper has presented infection hazards, sources and ways of microbial contamination and methods of prophylaxis. Research methods for microbial contamination have especially been considered as well as the significance of hand skin antisepsis and methods of sterilization, disinfectants and finally the decontamination of microbial bioaerosols in the air by means of HEPA filtration or the new MFI technology.
