Genetic polymorphism in optimalization of rheumatoid arthritis treatment. Current status on the role of genetic polymorphism in the management of rheumatoid arthritis is discussed in the paper. The authors present the effects of polymorphisms of drug metabolizing enzymes, transporters and receptors on both efficacy and side effects of drugs used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
