Raman spectroscopy in pharmaceutical analysis. Advances in instrumentation are making Raman spectroscopy the tool of choice for an increasing number of applications. This short review sums up recent Raman investigations employed in pharmaceutical area such as the analysis of pharmaceutical formulations, polymorph detection and identification, on-line monitoring of pharmaceutical blending process, Raman microspectroscopy, analysis of plants and microorganisms, as well as biomedical applications of the spectroscopy.
