Aims and scope

The international journal of the Polish Pharmaceutical Society is published in 6 issues a year. The journal offers Open Access publication of original research papers, short communications and reviews written in English, in all areas of pharmaceutical sciences. The following areas of pharmaceutical sciences are covered: Analysis, Biopharmacy, Drug Biochemistry, Drug Synthesis, Food and Nutrition, Natural Drugs, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacology and General.

 

A bimonthly appearing in English since 1994, which continues “Acta Poloniae Pharmaceutica”, whose first issue appeared in     December 1937. The war halted the activity of the journal’s creators. Issuance of “Acta Poloniae Pharmaceutica” was resumed in 1947. From 1947 the journal appeared irregularly, initially as a quarterly, then a bimonthly. In the years 1963–1973 alongside the Polish version appeared the English edition of the journal. Starting from 1974 only works in English are published in the journal. Since 1995 the journal has been appearing very regularly in two-month intervals (six books a year). The journal publishes original works from all fields of pharmacy, summaries of postdoctoral dissertations and laboratory notes.

In the years 2022-2024, the scientific journal "Acta Poloniae Pharmaceutica - Drug Research accomplishes a project no. RCN/SN/0552/2021/1, financed from the Ministry of Education and Science (Poland) in the framework of a program “Development of scientific journals”

In accordance with the announcement  the Polish Ministry of Education and Science of December 1, 2021 on The list of scientific journals and reviewed materials from international conferencesof the number of points for publishing a scientific article in "Acta Poloniae Pharmaceutica - Drug Research" to 100 points was increased. The editorial team of encourages all reviewers to continue cooperation and authors to article publication in journal.

According to the Ordinance of the Minister of Health of the 28th December 2021 on educational points obtained as part of continuous professional development and the model of a pharmacist's professional development card, a pharmacist may obtain educational points for an individual subscription to a scientific journal in the field of medical sciences and health sciences. We encourage pharmacists to subscribe individually to "Acta Poloniae Pharmaceutica - Drug Research".

Information on the number of points for an individual subscription can be found in Annex 2 (No. 26) to the ordinance of the Minister of Health of the 28th December 2021 (Dz. U. 2021, No. 2494).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Open Access Publication Fee since September 1, 2023

All articles published in Acta Poloniae Pharmaceutica – Drug Research (ISSN ) are published in full open access. In order to provide free access to readers, and to cover the costs of peer review, copyediting, typesetting, long-term archiving, and journal management, an article processing charge (APC) of 3900 PLN (Polish Zloty) + 8% VAT or 950 EUR (EUROS) applies to papers accepted after peer review.

Accepted Currencies

We accept payments in Polish Zloty (PLN) and Euros (EUR), US Dollars (USD). Upon acceptance, the corresponding author will receive an e-mail with a link where the currency of the invoice can be changed.

Accepted Methods of Payment

Polish Pharmaceutical Society currently supports the following payment methods:

  • Bank Transfer in Polish Zloty (PLN) for Polish authors (3000 PLN + 8% VAT ); Fee since September 1, 2023 (3900 PLN + 8% VAT)
  • Bank Transfer in Euros (EUR) for Foreign authors (740 EUR); Fee since September 1, 2023 (950 EUR)
