Boron, occurrence and significance for humans and plants physiology.Boron is one of a few trace elements, which play important physiological functions in organisms of humans and plants. It is indispensable element for proper plant's growth and development, and the deficiency or excess of boron, influences negatively both plant, animal and human's organisms. The literature review indicates, that the interest in this microelement in the last years, has significantly grown. Because of the reason given above, it was decided to present the available in the literature data on the occurrence of boron in the plant's kingdom, considering of its function in many metabolic processes, which determine the proper plant's growth. Moreover, the significance of boron for human, with the short description of the toxicity of this element, was also highlighted.
