Mikrokrystaliczny chitozan jako polimerowy nośnik leków

Microcrystalline chitosan as polymer drug carrier. Microcrystalline chitosan (MCCh) in the form of hydrogel at neutral pH has been used in the studies on drug carrier. The obtained preliminary results show that MCCh is useful for the preparation of semisolid and solid formulation. The more stable hydrogel systems containing non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) were produced using MCCh hydrogels of higher polymer content. Conducted dermatological studies have confirmed biocompatibility of hydrogels of MCCh with human skin. The physicochemical properties of the obtained bonds: polymer carrier MCCh-drug are better than those of drug alone. This fact may be used for pharmaceutical purposes to improve the solubility, stability and biological availability of drugs poorly soluble in water. Controlled biodegradability and biocompatibility of MCCh makes possible to use this polymer as resorbed membrane for guided tissue regeneration. This membrane may at the same time serve as a NSAIDs carrier.
