Adverse drug reactions - clinical, social and economic consequences. There are a large number of studies from across the world reporting on the scale of the clinical burden due to ADRs. Others have also attempted to quantity their social and economic consequences in terms of healthcare provision, resources implications and gross national productivity (GNP). All those involved in the development and use of medicines, whether they be payers, pharmaceutical companies, patients, physicians or regulators agree that ADRs are associated with suffering and costs. This paper is focused to analyze of the major aspects of clinical, social and economical consequences due to ADRs.
